<Fairy Tales>
These tales, We all read them, boys and girls.
For every boy wanted to be the hero wielding that sword.
For every girl wanted to be the princess never growing old.
We read these tales,
The hero would slay the dragon, the evil wizard, overthrow the tyrant.
The princess would always be beautiful, always be loved by everyone, always kissed by the hero in the sunset.
We read these tales,
When we were young and little,
When we knew none of the true evil,
That live in this world.
We read these tales,
Then we grew old.
Some of the boys became that evil wizard, craving for those gold.
Some of the boys became that hungry dragon, hunger for blood and gore.
Some of the boys became that evil king, wanting power and nothing more.
Some of the girls became that ugly sister, filled with jealousy.
Some of the girls became that evil queen, consumed by their own mirrors and vanity.
Then we realized,
The tales they didn't tell you.
That amongst the dragon the witch the evil king or the wizard,
Perhaps the scariest of them all,
Is that we keep on believing,
That we really are the heroes and the princesses,
Worthy a happy ending of our own.
